Well, one of the things I have been doing to get myself “travel ready” is I have been learning Italiano. Roberto was teaching me some words here and there which was fun, but he is not a teacher and so I decided that I needed to really do my best to actually learn the language. Especially because his family does not speak English, so when we go to Rome, I want to be able to have basic communication.
So I thought it would be fun and motivating to share an “Italian Word of the Week: Parola della Settimana”. Italian words that are funny and that make me smile, as well as ones that will be useful for travelers wanting some basic Italian words to get around.
So today is my favorite word: Il Cucchiaio (kook-kee-eye-oh)——– Spoon
