I am addicted to my new caffettiera, an Italian made stovetop espresso machine.
The is a really great one!
It is just as easy to use as a coffee pot, even more simple. Just fill the lower compartment with water and the filter with coffee grinds, stick it on the stove, and let the heat do the magic.
I learned from Lisabeeen that regular coffee pots never get to the boiling point, and therefore do not extract as much of the coffee as other methods. I am too low-maintenance for those huge espresso machines, so I decided in the spirit of all things Italian, to go for this little gem. I love it! I foam up a little milk, with this , mix it all together, add a little cinnamon on top and I am good to go! One word of warning, do not drink the entire pot all at once! A three cup machine translates to 3 servings! If you have leftovers, save it in the fridge for iced coffee tomorrow! It is bellisimo!

Hey Violette!
Which machine do you have?
Yeah, I drank the full pot a few times and man, I had non-stop energy! So at least now I know what to do to get me through a tiring day!

Hey Jenn!
Ethan and I are in love with each other and our espresso maker. WE HAVE TWO!!! Ethan makes it with cafe bustelo espresso which is cheap and then boils milk and vaaaavooom…you have the best coffee ever!! Typical cafe con leche (coffee and milk) Ethan’s coffee has made me into a total coffee snob. My tastebuds are spoiled! And it is a sweet staple of our relationship…he makes it every morning and brings it to me in bed or puts it in a travel mug for me to grab and go to work! These little coffee makers make more than excellent coffee…they make love!!! beso!

Beso a Tu!
I love the way you put it Diana, “they make more than excellent coffee, they make love”!
You better believe it!
Did you notice I am drinking out of my new favorite espresso cup? It has a black kitty on it! Divine!
